Busy mom, entrepreneur, advocate, volunteer and life coach – I wear a lot of hats! In July 2017, my dreams were coming true and I should have been on top of the world but instead, I was burned out, exhausted and having trouble getting out of my own way. My body was rebelling, I was having a hard time getting through my workouts and I was definitely not fun to be around! Like many women in today’s world, I was running on a hamster wheel that was about to crash and I knew I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes to get my life back on track! Over the last 18 months, I have been exploring new techniques and implementing many changes that have made a huge difference to my health, and now I want to share them with you!

When I am not working with clients and managing my health & wellness centre, I am the mom to three “man-children” who are just about ready to venture out in the world on their own. For the past 20 years, I have lived the crazy life of sports mom, caretaker to a very sick child, entrepreneur and volunteer, and while I have loved every minute of it, I have definitely burned the candle at both ends for a very long time!

I opened my first business, Lifestyles Health & Fitness in 2008 as a small fitness studio and have grown it steadily over the last 10 years taking it from that small start-up to a growing gym to most recently, a full-service wellness centre which was my ultimate dream. However, at the time that this was finally coming in to fruition – I had purchased my own building and was getting ready to make a major reno – life got really crazy (or crazier I should say!) My personal life was out of control, I was working 15 hours days trying to keep my business running and the renos on track and by the time I was moving in to my dream building, I was also experiencing a total burn out! While I tried to keep up with myself and “just keep going”, my body had different ideas and I ended up in adrenal fatigue and found myself unable to get out of my own way.

I knew I had to make changes if I was going to reclaim my health and get my life back on track and over the last year, I have done just that! I have taken the steps I needed to bring my life back in to balance, to reclaim time for ME and to put in to place the self-care practices that I needed to live a healthy and productive life once again.
