By Jen Gendron: Health & Wellness Coach
Here we are quickly coming to the end of another year. I am not sure where 2019 has gone but I must say, I am looking forward to turning the page to the New Year.
At this time of year, I like to reflect back on all that the past year has brought and look ahead to what 2020 will bring. I am so very grateful for all the wonderful people who I have the pleasure to work every day and for the patronage of our amazing members who continue to inspire me each and every day to work harder to bring as many opportunities and programs as I can to our amazing little community. Watching the personal journeys of each and every one of our members unfold is such a gift and a privilege for me and the past year has been no exception. We continue to watch as you reach for new goals, overcome challenges and setbacks and forge on to take on new challenges towards your goals for healthy living and the quest for good health and vitality.
The past year has presented lots of struggles for me both personally and with the business. There have been many days that I have struggled and felt frustration that I have not been able to do more and offer more – there were so many things I thought I would have been able to accomplish and bring to the community by this time that are still out of reach. While I hope that things have appeared to run smoothly, behind the scenes, I have struggled in many ways this year. There have been days when it has been very hard for me to come to work – a first for me in my 12 years of operating Lifestyles. But then I come in and I see the smiling faces of our members and my team, and I surround myself in the incredible energy that our members and staff bring and I am reminded that all will be well and that those things that seem out of reach will come in due time and that just for today, I can be happy exactly where things are right now.
As we turn the calendar to 2020, I am filled with excitement as I know that many of the projects I have been working on “behind the scenes” will be coming to fruition in this New Year and I am so very excited to share them with all of you! There will be new staff coming on board, some new equipment arriving in the gym and some new and innovative programs coming your way in the New Year – stay tuned and watch for details as things begin to unfold.
As 2019 draws to a close, I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you who have placed your trust and your business in me and my team. We are truly grateful that you have chosen Lifestyles to be not only your “gym” but your gathering place and a place to learn, grow and challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone, try new things and meet new people. We truly appreciate each and every one of you and thank you for all that you do and all that you bring to our Lifestyles family. On behalf of my entire team, I want to wish all of you a New Year filled with health, happiness & a sense of peace that lasts the whole year through.
With much gratitude & love, Jen
