With December 1st just about upon us, the hustle and bustle of holiday activity is soon to begin. As you drive around town, signs of the holidays are starting to appear with twinkling lights and garland popping up as people begin to deck their halls. This is a busy time of year for us all and is often a time when our fitness routine and healthy eating plans can be forgotten. With the number of holiday functions and activities happening, we are often surrounded by high calorie treats and goodies that take us completely off track from our regular routine. As we rush around shopping, wrapping, visiting and attending holiday events, exercise can be the farthest thing from our minds. Unfortunately, if we take a month off from our routine for the holidays, we can quickly loose any gains we have made throughout the year and have to start back at square one in January. It is better to keep up as much as you can with a routine in order to maintain your level of fitness so when the New Year roles around, you are ready for new challenges.
In order to help you keep on track with some physical activity throughout this busy time of year, we are challenging you to participate in our “12 Days of Fitness” challenge which will begin on December 1st. Subscribe to follow us on our blog and each day, you will receive an exercise to add to your program along with a healthy eating tip. We will begin with one exercise on day one and build up to a circuit of 12 exercises by the 12th day. All of the exercises will be ones you can do either at home or at the gym so prepare a playlist of your favorite holiday tunes, clear a space and get ready to rock it out to the Lifestyles 12 Day of Fitness Challenge coming your way December 1st!
