MY DAILY FITNESS JOURNAL – DAYS 9-11

It has been a busy week with anniversary celebrations happening every day at Lifestyles! It is hard to believe we have been in the William Bell location for five years already – the time has flown by! As I have taught classes this week and looked around the room, I am so happy to see so many faces that have been with us since the very beginning as well as so many new faces we have welcomed over the years. I feel so incredibly blessed to get to come to work every day in an environment that feels like such a community. There have been many ups and downs over the years but it has been an incredible journey nonetheless and I look forward to what the future will hold!
In the midst of celebrations, I have been able to keep my workouts on track with a little help from my workout buddies! It is always great to have someone you can rely on to meet you as your “workout buddy” so you can motivate each other and keep each other on track. I met my workout buddy Amy on Tuesday for a cardio workout followed by some “SBT” (aka Suspension Band Training!) If you haven’t had a chance to try SBT yet, I highly recommend it! It is such a great way to tone up and challenge yourself – a great workout!
Wednesday was Body Sculpt night and then another round this morning with two great classes! As usual, it is the cardio that I come up short on. I made up for a bit a tonight by taking in our St. Paddy’s Day Zumba class with my workout buddies Rachel & Amy as well as a huge crowd! It has been ages since I did a Zumba class and I have to say, despite my lack of coordination, it is just SO MUCH FUN!! There is something about sweating and smiling to the fun Zumba music that just makes you want to keep coming back! If you find cardio boring or hard to fit in, find something like Zumba to add to your schedule – it is great time!
